IRON Rules to live by: #1

Let me start by saying that these aren’t “success principles” or tips and tricks to make you more money. These rules aren’t promising to make you a better salesman or a master of wooing the opposite sex (or the same one, I don’t care). The entire purpose of the Rules I will be sharing are to help you move forward as a person. There will always be something that we could improve upon. Whether it’s physical, mental, or spiritual, we can be better. Progress is the purpose of the human race.
With all that being said I want to start with arguably the most important rule on this non peer reviewed, completely opinionated, amateur written, and impromptu list:
1. Do the right thing. Always.
This one is not flexible. You can’t bend this rule. It doesn’t matter the consequence, in fact sometimes the consequences can be shit. That’s still not a permissible excuse to support or even ignore an injustice of any degree. From putting away your shopping cart, to defending someone from bullying; take action. It doesn’t matter if there is nobody around to see it, you still have to face yourself at the end of the day. You’re never going to fully respect the person in the mirror looking back if you know they took shortcuts, chose what was expedient over purposeful, opted for the path of least resistance. All acts count. Wipe the piss off the seat, hold the door for the next person, report your scum bag neighbor for abusing his wife. All in a days work. Do the right thing and do it now.
